2008 Annual Meeting of Members (NTSB BAR ASSOC. EVENT)
May 14 thru 16, 2008
The Hilton, Alexandria, Virginia
NTSB Bar Association National Conference: Become a Member and attend an aviation seminar that features some of the nation's finest aviation attorneys !
To Register, click the link seen below the hotel information.
We are pleased to announce the plans for the 2008 Annual Meeting in Alexandria, Virginia. The event kicks off with a cocktail reception from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, with the conference continuing on May 15 and 16. We have assembled an excellent program for Continuing Legal Education in aviation law, and we believe the opportunities to renew your acquaintances and to expand your professional network at our conference will be tremendous. Alexandria is a fun place to visit with its many fine shops, scenic location on the Potomac River, and a pub or two.
We also have a special announcement. Click here for press release. In addition to our fine seminar, our Bar Association will be honoring a great Ambassador of Good Will for Aviation, Mr. Cliff Robertson. A star of stage and screen, Mr. Robertson has been involved in aviation for many years. He has been a wonderful mentor and role model for us all. He has portrayed heroic historical figures in films such as PT 109; military aviation characters in films such as 633 Squadron; and, the innocence of a mentally retarded man in Charly, for which he won an Academy Award. Behind the scenes, Mr. Robertson has never lost his enthusiasm for flying, from owning aircraft, once including a “Spitfire”, to flying his family members in his “Baron”, to teaching kids through the E.A.A.’s Young Eagles Program. Many of our members have followed his acting career for a long time. Many of you may have also encountered Mr. Robertson while you were participating at aviation events all over the country. It should be a grand event.
Our NTSB BA Annual Meeting is a good time to introduce new members to our group, so please don’t hesitate to contact your friends and associates and let them know about our professional association. We encourage any law students to take advantage of our student rate, as well.
We look forward to seeing you in May!
