Becoming a Member and the Benefits of Membership
 Practicing
law within a highly specialized and complicated area of law governed
by agencies such as the FAA and NTSB requires knowledge of the numerous
procedures, customs and courtesies used by those agencies. As with
any other specialized area of the law, a key element of successful
and competent representation is knowing and interacting with other
practitioners in the same field. Being a member of the NTSB Bar Association
facilitates communication among attorneys and experts practicing aviation
law by creating a mechanism to share ideas and thoughts. It also provides
a conduit in which critical changes in the law are rapidly disseminated,
so that each member of our community is up to date on evolving trends
and specific changes when it counts most. . . now. Whether we agree
or merely agree to disagree on these issues, the NTSB Bar provides
a strong network in which comradery and community play an essential
element in the eternal goal of justice as well as in our own individual
growth and success.
